A graduate of Goldsmith’s College London, Alex began working in the film and TV industry in the late 90s, initially for the BFI’s London Film Festival and London Lesbian and Gay Film Festival. After establishing a career as a production manager in factual TV working for all the major UK broadcasters, she made the move into producing in 2005.

Alex’s short films have screened at festivals worldwide and sold for distribution in the UK and abroad. She co-produced the feature BREAK MY FALL by BAFTA-nominated writer/director Kanchi Wichmann, which premiered at Creteil International Women’s Film Festival in March 2011, and was subsequently sold to 5 international territories, including Peccadillo Pictures for the UK and Pro-Fun Media for Germany.

In 2009 Alex teamed up with Miikka Leskinen to form 65 Wilding Films. She is now working on Miikka’s debut feature HARBOUR. In addition, Alex is developing several other projects, most notably Kanchi Wichmann’s second feature NORMAL LOVE in association with the London Film School’s Hothouse scheme.

In addition to producing, Alex ran and programmed the Britspotting Film Festival in Berlin ('07-'11). She has just been selected for the EAVE European Producers Workshop.
